We understand that shipping large, heavy products can be daunting – we aim to make the process as smooth as possible. This Shipping Policy explains where we ship, shipping costs, delivery methods, and what to expect during delivery.
Shipping Area:
We currently ship to addresses in the Contiguous United States (Lower 48 states). Unfortunately, we do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, other U.S. territories, or international destinations at this time . If you attempt to checkout with a non-contiguous address, our system will not be able to process it.
Shipping Cost:
We are pleased to offer Free Shipping on all orders within the continental USA. The price you see for the product is the price you pay – no additional charge for standard delivery to your location . Note: “Free shipping” covers standard freight or ground shipping. If you request special services (see below), additional fees may apply (we’ll quote you in advance).
Processing Time:
Order processing time (the time to prepare your order for shipment) varies by product:
- In-stock small items (accessories, parts) usually ship out in 1-3 business days.
- Saunas and Plunges are often made-to-order or assembled at the warehouse. They typically ship within 1-2 weeksof your order. Some models, noted on the product page, may require up to 3-4 weeks lead time if demand is high or if customization is involved. We will keep you updated on any backorder or production delays.
- Hyperbaric Chambers / Special Equipment: If applicable, these generally ship in 5-7 business days if in stock. If not, lead times could be a few weeks. We will communicate the timeline to you after ordering.
Carrier Methods:
We use reputable carriers to deliver your items:
- Small/Medium Packages: For smaller items, we ship via FedEx, UPS, or USPS . You will receive a tracking number by email when the item ships. No signature is usually required for small parcel delivery, but consider shipping to an address where someone can receive it to avoid packages sitting outside.
- Large Freight Shipments (Saunas, Plunge Tubs, etc.): Large products ship via LTL freight truck. We partner with freight carriers experienced in delivering oversized items. These shipments will be on a pallet or crate. Freight deliveries are curbside – the driver will bring the pallet to the end of your driveway or the street curb in front of your house. They are not obligated to unpack or move it onto your property (and typically will not, due to liability). Please arrange for help on the delivery day to move the item from curb to home if needed.
Estimated Delivery Times:
Once shipped, transit times vary:
- East Coast: ~3-7 business days transit for freight from our warehouses (many are in the Midwest or East Coast).
- West Coast: ~7-10 business days transit for freight (further distance).
- Small package carriers: 2-7 days depending on distance (we ship from the nearest warehouse stocking your item).These are estimates; actual delivery dates depend on carrier schedules, weather, etc. We will send tracking info so you can monitor progress. If you need a product by a certain date, let us know and we’ll try to accommodate or give a realistic expectation.
Shipment Origin:
We ship all orders from our warehouses or manufacturer partners. Many of our saunas and plunges ship directly from the manufacturer’s facility. For instance, cedar sauna kits ship from Ontario, Canada (for Dundalk Leisurecraft products) . Hyperbaric chambers might ship from Minnesota or Maryland depending on brand. We will note in your tracking if an item is coming from Canada or another location – in such cases, don’t worry about customs; it’s handled by the carrier and you won’t have to do anything extra, nor pay import fees for Canada-to-US shipments (we cover those if applicable).
Our primary shipment points:
- Saunas and Plunges: Ontario, Canada and/or U.S. distribution centers (depending on model) .
- Sauna Heaters & Chillers: Typically ship from U.S. stock (these usually ship within 1-2 weeks) .
- Accessories: Small items often ship from New Jersey or nearest U.S. warehouse within 2 weeks (or bundled with the main product if ordered together).
Delivery Appointment & Process (Freight):
When the freight company contacts you, schedule a day when you can be there. On the day:
- The truck will arrive curbside. Most freight trucks are large 18-wheelers . If you live in an area where a semi-truck cannot go (narrow road, dead-end without turn-around, etc.), let the carrier know in advance . They may arrange a smaller truck or meet you at a different location. If the truck can’t physically reach you and you didn’t warn them, you might incur redelivery fees, so communication is key.
- Upon arrival, the driver will lower the crate to the ground (liftgate) and may move it a short distance with a pallet jack (if the surface is flat). They will not drive into your driveway in most cases , and will not unpack or carry items inside.
- Inspection: Before signing, do a quick inspection. If you see obvious severe damage to the packaging (holes, crushed sections exposing the product, etc.), you have two options: refuse delivery or accept with notation. Refusing might be simplest if it looks bad – the item will go back and we’ll send a replacement. Alternatively, you can note on the delivery receipt what damage you see (e.g. “crate broken, side panel of sauna visibly cracked”) and take photos. This way, any later claim is backed by the carrier’s acknowledgement. For minor dings to packaging with no visible product damage, note it anyway (“box dented”) and accept the item. Always notify us ASAP of any issues.
- After signing, the driver will depart. You should then further inspect the product and compare against parts list. If you find concealed damage or missing parts, notify us within 5 days of delivery.
Signature Confirmation (Small Packages):
For certain high-value small packages (say a $1000 handheld device), we may require signature delivery even via UPS/FedEx to ensure it gets to you securely. We’ll inform you in such cases. Otherwise, standard deliveries might be left at your door.
Special Delivery Needs:
If you require White Glove delivery or Inside Delivery, this must be arranged before shipment and will incur extra charges. (White Glove means the item is brought inside your home and sometimes assembly – generally not offered by freight by default, but we can quote a local service.) Most customers opt to handle the final placement themselves due to the high cost of White Glove on large saunas. If you have limited mobility or no ability to move a heavy item, consider hiring local movers to come on delivery day to relocate the item from curb to your desired spot.
Failed Delivery / Storage Fees:
Freight carriers will typically hold the item for a week or so while attempting to schedule with you. If they cannot reach you or you continuously delay delivery beyond a reasonable window, storage fees could accrue. We will attempt to avoid this by contacting you if the carrier can’t. Please ensure the phone number and email on your order are accurate and that you respond promptly to scheduling communications. If a shipment is returned to sender due to inability to schedule (or refusal not due to damage),It will be reshipped free of charge when customer is available.
Lost Packages:
For small parcel shipments, if tracking shows delivered but you didn’t receive it, check around your property and with neighbors. If still not found, notify us within 3 days of stated delivery. We will file a trace with the carrier. This process can take a few days. We may resend the item if it’s clear it was lost/stolen, or issue a refund, depending on stock and your preference. Porch theft unfortunately is beyond our control, but we’ll do what we can to help (and we encourage requiring signature on valuable items to prevent this scenario).
International Freight Forwarders:
We know some customers outside the US use freight forwarder services in the continental US. We can ship to these forwarders, but once the item is delivered to them, our responsibility ends. You or the forwarder are then responsible for shipping beyond and any import/export formalities. We strongly advise having the forwarder inspect the item before forwarding. Our free shipping covers to their U.S. address only. Any damage discovered after they forward it internationally would be very hard to claim, so again – use caution.
